Roger began his career in sport as a Development Manager for the London Area of the English Sports Council in 1992, moving on to become an LTA Regional Development Manager for the South East region in 1994 and then the LTA Director of Development in 1999. He became Chief Executive of Sport England in 2002 and spearheaded a major review and reorganisation of the business.  He joined the LTA as Chief Executive in April 2006.  He is a keen sportsman, enjoying all sports but particularly rugby, skiing, golf, and, of course, tennis!
